Details

Who said barn doors have to be rustic? The Contemporary Barn Door takes the recognized X used in old barn doors, and builds upon it creating a unique 3-paneled door. Each portion of the door is equal, bearing identical X’s. The uniformity and strong design of the door enables it to take control of the décor of a room. The rails, styles, and X’s are just over 4” wide, while the entire back panel is smooth enabling the door to maintain a modern feeling yet carrying a semblance of old barn doors.

Unique Quality Factors

  • 2- Sided Doors – Matching pattern on both sides of the door
  • Only high quality woods are used – Pine comes standard, available upon request: Alder, Walnut, Cherry, Cedar, and other luxury woods
  • Mortise and Tenon Joinery, secured with nails and glue
  • All doors have engineered styles and engineered rails to prevent warping and restrict wood movement
  • All doors are finished with requested paint or stain, and then covered with a unique blend of wax and clear coat to give it the ultimate refined finish.
  • Each piece of wood is run through a high-grade sander to create a uniform and smooth finish.

Design Ideas

The Contemporary Barn door takes a twist from a traditional barn door. With a more delicate X design and smooth finish on the door it becomes refined and contemporary. The strong design lends itself better to a flat finish on the paint, further showing of the X pattern. The door also looks stunning as a double door or bypass system, the sheer quantity of X’s and substance adding depth and warmth to any décor.
